Ingredients

1 cup plain flour

½ cup almond meal

¾ cup caster sugar

125 g butter, melted

2 tbsp Lemon Fresh Lemon Juice

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract
For garnish:

Lemon zest or dried rose petals
For the glaze:

½ cup icing sugar

1 tbsp Lemon Fresh Lemon Juice

1 tsp warm water
Method

Preheat oven to 170°C and line a square baking tin with parchment paper.

In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, lemon juice, and vanilla.

Add flour and almond meal, stirring until smooth.

Pour mixture into prepared tin and bake for 20–25 minutes, until lightly golden.

Mix glaze ingredients until smooth and pour over cooled bars.
